From its founding in 1834 Pinjarra has provided a strong community focus for rural industry. Surrounded by lush grazing lands it supports farming activity, a timber industry and more recently mining. It abuts the Peel Inlet and the Harvey Estuary with the Murray River providing a rich flow of water through the region. Today Pinjarra continues to progress with a new shopping centre providing every necessity from a Coles Supermarket to specialty shops and fast food outlets. The town is also well served with modern medical facilities, sporting venues and with the opening of the Perth – Bunbury Highway everything is close at hand.
Pinjarra is a rural environment that delivers the best of both worlds.
